Wax Melts

How long do wax melts last?

Our wax melts can be enjoyed 3–4 times without losing their fragrance. A 70g clamshell provides up to 100 hours of scent, while our 25g wax melt packs offer approximately 12–15 hours of fragrance.

All melts are made using our natural blend of coconut, soy, and rapeseed wax for a cleaner, gentler melt.

Are your wax melts suitable for vegans?

Yes. All our wax melts and candles are vegan, cruelty-free, and free from paraffin. They’re crafted using plant-based waxes for a more mindful home fragrance experience.

Are your wax melts made with natural ingredients?

Our wax melts and candles are handmade using a non-toxic blend of coconut, soy, and rapeseed wax. We use a combination of high-quality fragrance and essential oils to create our scents.

What type of wax burner should I use?

  • Electric wax burners
  • Plug-in warmers
  • Ceramic tea-light burners

We do not recommend using oil burners or burners under 10cm in height, as these may overheat and cause cracking or safety issues. Always follow the burner manufacturer’s instructions.

How do I remove wax from my burner?

There are two easy ways to clean your burner:

  • While warm: Place cotton pads into the melted wax to absorb it, then wipe clean.
  • Once cooled: Allow the wax to harden, then hold the dish under warm water for a few seconds and gently remove the wax.

Ensure the dish is completely dry before adding a new melt.

How often should I change a wax melt?

With a standard 4-hour tea-light, a wax melt can be used 3–4 times.

For electric or plug-in warmers, replace the melt once the fragrance begins to fade.

Is it normal for a wax burner to produce light smoke?

A small amount of white vapour can be normal — this is simply the fragrance oil gently evaporating. If you notice dark smoke, turn off the burner immediately or extinguish the tealight.

Always check your burner for cracks and never leave it unattended.

How should I store wax melts?

Store wax melts in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. This helps preserve their fragrance and ensures they remain at their best for longer.

Why do wax melts lose their scent over time?

Over time, fragrance oils can naturally fade — especially if melts are exposed to warmth or stored for long periods. Replacing the melt with a fresh one will restore the scent experience.

Should I choose candles or wax melts?

Both are designed to create a calm, comforting atmosphere.

  • Candles offer a soft glow and a slower, ambient scent release
  • Wax melts provide a longer-lasting fragrance and are a more flexible option

Both are made using our signature natural wax blend — the choice simply depends on your ritual.

What are your candles made from?

Our candles are crafted using a natural blend of coconut, soy, and rapeseed wax. This carefully chosen combination creates a clean, even burn and allows fragrance to gently fill your space.

We use plant-based waxes to offer a high-quality alternative to traditional paraffin candles.

Are your candles suitable for vegans?

Yes. All our candles and wax melts are vegan, cruelty-free, and paraffin-free, making them a more mindful choice for your home.

Are your candles handmade?

Yes. All Zawadee candles are hand-poured in small batches in our Leicester studio. Each candle is made with care and attention to detail to ensure consistent quality.

Why do you use coconut, soy, and rapeseed wax?

We choose coconut, soy, and rapeseed wax because they are:

  • Plant-based and biodegradable
  • Cleaner burning than paraffin
  • Excellent at holding fragrance

Together, they create a slower, more even burn with a beautifully balanced scent throw.

Are your candles eco-friendly?

Our candles are made using natural, plant-based waxes and are packaged with sustainability in mind wherever possible. We aim to make thoughtful choices that balance luxury with responsibility.

Where are your candles made?

All of our candles are handcrafted in our Leicester studio, from pouring to finishing and packaging.

How can I make my candle last longer?

To enjoy your candle at its best, we recommend the following care tips:

  • Trim the wick to around 5mm before each burn
  • Allow the wax to melt to the edges on the first burn to prevent tunnelling
  • Burn for 2–4 hours at a time to ensure an even melt pool
  • Store your candle in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight
  • Stop burning when approximately 1cm of wax remains

These simple steps help extend burn time and maintain fragrance quality.

Orders & Delivery

Can I amend my order?

If you need to make a change to your order, please contact us as soon as possible. We’ll always do our best to help if the order hasn’t yet been processed.

Once an order has been prepared or dispatched, changes may no longer be possible.

My order status says “unfulfilled” — what does this mean?

Once you place an order, you’ll receive a confirmation email. While your order is being prepared for dispatch, its status will show as unfulfilled.

As soon as your order has been dispatched, you’ll receive a shipping confirmation email.

What are your dispatch and delivery times?

Orders placed before 11am are usually dispatched the same working day. Orders placed after this time are typically dispatched the next working day.

We do not dispatch orders over weekends or bank holidays.

Delivery usually takes 2–5 working days, depending on the service selected. Express delivery options are available at checkout.

Who do you ship with?

We work with trusted delivery partners to ensure your order arrives safely:

  • Royal Mail and Evri for standard deliveries
  • DPD for express shipping
  • FedEx for international orders

Shipping methods may vary depending on order size and destination.

Can I collect my order?

Yes — we offer free collection from our Leicester studio.

Orders are usually ready within 24 hours, and we’ll email you once your order is prepared.

Collections are available Monday to Friday, between 2pm and 4pm.

Can you gift-wrap my order?

Yes. Gift wrapping can be selected during checkout and is perfect for thoughtful gifting.

Returns & Refunds

What is your return policy?

We offer a 30-day satisfaction guarantee. If something isn’t quite right, you can return your item within 30 days of receiving your order, provided it is unused and in its original packaging.

Can I exchange my item?

Exchanges are accepted within 30 days, subject to the item being unused and in its original packaging. Return postage costs are the responsibility of the customer.

Please contact us before returning an item so we can assist you.

What is your 30-day satisfaction guarantee?

If you’re not completely happy with your purchase, you may return it within 30 days for a refund.

  • Items must be unused and in original packaging
  • Return postage is the responsibility of the customer
  • We recommend using a tracked service, as we can’t be responsible for items lost in transit

Once your return has been received and inspected, refunds are processed to the original payment method. Please allow 5–10 working days for the refund to appear, depending on your bank.
